The reigning 4A Region III District 20 champion Smithville High School varsity softball team is off to a roaring start to the 2022 campaign, having secured a 5-4 victory against Hallettsville last Tuesday, Feb. 22, to move to 5-1-1 on the young season.After going undefeated in the district, winning 28 games, and making a multi-round playoff run last year, the Lady Tigers have thus far this season outscored opponents 41-23.
