BASTROP — The Bastrop High School girls varsity basketball team got off to an impressive start for the 2023-24 regular season Nov. 3 as the Lady Bears dominated their game from start to finish with a landslide 70-21 victory at home against the Lady Panthers of Austin Eastside Early College High School.Bastrop outscored Eastside 25-3 in the first quarter, 16-11 in the second quarter, 20-4 in the third quarter and 9-3 in the fourth quarter.The Lady Bears handled business throughout the evening as Bastrop was led by freshman Taylor Brown, who made 7-of-8 shots for a game-high 15 points.
