Historic season comes to an end

The Elgin Wildcats’ magical season concluded on Friday, Nov. 11, on a piercingly cold evening at Nelson Field in Austin.​The Wildcats took on the LBJ Jaguars, who were overwhelming at times with their speed and athleticism as they pulled away to win 69-0.​Despite the tough loss, head coach Heath Clawson expressed how proud he was of his team’s accomplishments this season.​“To get to this point from last year is incredible,” Clawson said. “I can’t say enough about these kids, how hard they’ve worked, what they’ve done for this community to bring playoff football back to Elgin.”​The Wildcats were able to ...
