The Elgin Wildcats basketball teams’ seasons are officially underway.​The varsity girls played their first opponent on Nov. 4 against the visiting Glenn Grizzlies, losing 55-20. Their next game, played this past Friday, was a more tightly contested matchup. The Wildcats had some success early, but they ultimately came up short against the Savio Eagles with a score of 37-26.​The varsity boys team had their first test on Nov. 11, hosting the McCallum Knights.
