Homebound seniors receive second vaccine shot

On April 3, 95 Bastrop County residents received their second round of COVID-19 vaccines, and eight received their first doses, as part of the state’s Save Our Seniors initiative. In March, Bastrop County was selected to participate in the first week of the initiative, run by the Texas Division of Emergency Management and the Texas Department of State Health Services, to ensure more seniors throughout Texas receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
