Festival’s ‘pearl’ of a show names winners

Elgin Arts Association's Pearls Before Swine Art Show highlighted 98 pieces of art this year by 45 artists from around the country.The variety of two and three-dimensional entries ranged from acrylics, oils, watercolor, mixed media, collage, digital, rug hooking, jewelry, metal works and photography. The show is available online until the end of the year at http://www.theclevertiger.com.The People's Choice Award and honorable mention voting was open for all three days of voting. There was reportedly tremendous participation from the visitors at the gallery during the Hogeye Festival. The first place award, voted on by a panel of judges, went to “Saguadalupe''
