Elgin pigged out this past weekend.The 35th annual Hogeye Festival was in town Oct. 20-22 and culminated in numerous festivities Saturday.“This was the biggest Best Little Pig Gig yet, and we were thrilled with the day,” said Mayor Theresa McShan and festival co-chair. “We are lucky to have so many dedicated hogunteers and great support from business sponsors and the city.”The Hogeye Stroll kicked off festivities Thursday night, along with the Pearls Before Swine Art Show and Hogalicious Dessert Contest. A carnival lit up the night sky and continued into Friday and Saturday.Kenny Orts and No Chance Band highlighted Friday night’s street dance that rocked downtown Elgin.
