Auction to benefit cancer research center

Cattlemen for Cancer Research (CCR) will hold its 21st annual auction in Bastrop, Texas, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, at the Hills Prairie Livestock Auction Company, 1177 Highway 304. Proceeds will benefit the Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition to the cattle auction, the event includes a silent auction, a washer tournament, a complimentary barbecue lunch, kids’ activities and presentation of the CCR Hero and Survivor awards.
