This year marked Elgin’s 73rd year of observing the Swedish Mid-Summer Festival on June 20. It was that time again to come together and celebrate their Swedish ancestors’ history in Elgin at the Elgin SPJST Lodge. When this special occasion comes around, the future generations celebrate and remember the hard work of their late fathers. The celebration featured a couple married for 73 years: Jack Abrahamson and his precious wife, Leona Abrahamson.
