Elgin High School varsity track, represented at the 2022 Regional Track Meet by the boys 4x200 meter relay team, closed out its campaign last weekend at Humble’s Turner Stadium.With a roster consisting of Emmanuel Asafotei, Jonathan Meurin, Justin Strong and Khrystofer Washington, the Wildcats placed 28th in the 4x200 relay preliminary round, posting a time of 1:32.16.The team actually improved upon their time from the District Meet (1:32.42), but it wasn’t quite enough to push the group onto the State Meet, which will take place May 12 through May 14 at Austin’s Mike A.
