The Elgin High School varsity baseball club split a home-and-away district series against the Connally Cougars last week, earning a 10-5 Monday victory before losing 3-2 on the road Thursday night.Despite the defense committing seven errors Monday, an abundant offensive output helped push the Wildcats into the win column.
