Crafts-less Lady Cats drop first district game

It was a tough day last Tuesday for the Elgin Lady Cats, who lost 15-0 to Georgetown in four innings. Hannah Blincoe earned the win for Georgetown. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out 10. Emma Neidig, who filled in for injured ace Gracy Crafts, took the loss for Elgin. She lasted two innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out two. According to Elgin coach Amanda Wolf-Schramm, Crafts has a broken bone in her foot.
