On April 27, the Elgin Masonic Lodge #328 held their first annual fundraiser golf tournament.

The lodge often holds fundraisers in order to fund special events for the organization. This year, the golf tournament was meant to raise money for the organization’s 150th anniversary celebration in June 2020. According to lodge champlain Wayne Skubiata, the golf tournament turned out great and met their fundraising expectations, and the Elgin Masonic Lodge plans to continue hosting an annual golf tournament in coming years.

The event was supported by the community, including about 20 local businesses who sponsored the tournament. Additionally, many of the members helped to put on the fundraiser. Eleven teams, made up of a total of 44 players, participated in the golf tournament.
