Joan Steenhoek Aalbers passed away peacefully at her Presidential Meadows home in Manor on Aug. 26, 2022, after a brief battle with a very aggressive form of metastatic breast cancer. She was 71.She was born during a blizzard to Dale and Mary Steenhoek in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on Feb. 6, 1951.
