What made you want to run for this position?  I am running for the Mayor of Elgin position because I feel Elgin is now at that line that other surrounding communities of Austin have had to deal with, growing from a small town to a mid-size city. This process, if not handled correctly, could make or break the local government and their ability to serve the citizens in a proper manner.
