Windows broken in Elgin museum

Two windows at the Elgin Depot Museum were broken in an apparent act of vandalism early last week. A window was found with a hole broken all the way through. This window led into the military room of the museum, which served as the ticket office when the building was a train station. The other window damaged was on one of the doors on the east side of the special exhibits room, facing the tracks. This window was severely cracked, but not completely shattered or broken through.
