Despite a threat of rain, hundreds gathered at Veterans’ Memorial Park in their most heroic outfits on Saturday morning for the fifth annual Super-Hero Run to Cure Diabetes, which consisted of 1K and 5K races. According to Jodie Lopez, the race director, about 300 people had signed up before the race.
