SMITHVILLE – Smithville Independent School District hosted two more athletic camps this past week for first through ninth-grade girls on June 12–15 as Lady Tigers volleyball and basketball had two camps for each sport.The advanced volleyball camp was from 8-9:30 a.m. in the high school gym and the younger basketball camp in the junior high school gym at the same time, while the advanced basketball camp and younger volleyball camp was from 10-11:30 a.m. This gave the girls a perfect opportunity to go to both the volleyball and basketball camps with their respective age groups.Drills, scrimmages, the importance of teamwork ...
