Council approves new board appointment process

After a couple of months of discussion and public feedback, the Elgin City Council voted on new rules to appoint citizens to city boards and committees.The discussion first began at the January 4 city council meeting. The council generally appoints members to the boards and committees during the first meeting of the year.
