In the midst of a hot, dry summer, a brush fire on Tuesday, July 26 burned several acres near McDade.First responders, representing the McDade, Elgin and Blue volunteer fire departments, Bastrop County Emergency Services District No. 2, the Texas A&M Forest and Star Flight, worked the Knobbs Fire near McDade on the evening of July 26.
