Smithville author unravels rich history with new novel

Smithville resident, Faith Franklin, recently published her debut novel Aftermath under her surname, G.A. Anthony.The novel tells the true story of the Leshikar family, spanning generations and centered around various historical events in Texas, such as the Galveston hurricane of 1900, the muder of Constable Dan Jenkins, the gruesome Smithville railroad explosion of 1911, and prohibition, which was especially relevant to the Leshikars since they were owners of a saloon in Smithville.
