Broadband survey results released

The results of last year’s broadband internet survey have been released, illuminating some of the gaps in internet access in Bastrop County and displaying some of the changes in internet usage caused by the pandemic. Between July and November 2020, Bastrop County and nonprofit Connected Nation Texas conducted a survey to determine the level of availability of broadband access across the county.  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) defines broadband or high-speed internet as at least 25 megabits per second (Mbps) for downloading and three Mbps for uploading.
