Elgin may get extended 10 acres to the west.A City Council public hearing next Tuesday, Nov. 15, will address potentially annexing 10 acres of Travis County land, adjacent to the east Klaus Lane and south of FM 1100. The hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Elgin Public Library Annex and Civic Center, 404 N. Main St.Specifically, the hearing pertains to adopting an ordinance to annex adjacent and contiguous territory to Elgin with a 10-acre tract or parcel of land, situated out of the William Hines Survey, No. 53 in Travis County and Travis County Appraisal District #248221.
