20% of voters cast early

BASTROP COUNTY — Nearly one-fifth of the county’s registered voters turned out to vote early last week.At the end of Sunday, Oct. 30, the Texas Secretary of the State’s Office recorded Bastrop County as having 10,884 votes cast. Sunday’s cumulative tally represents 19.51% of the 55,779 registered voters in the county.There were 9,816 in-person voters and 1,068 mail-in votes as of Sunday.Early voting continues through Friday, Nov. 4.
