A record-breaking winter storm spanned Texas last weekend, bringing ice, freezing temperatures and inches of snow by Monday morning. On Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service for Austin and San Antonio issued an urgent winter weather message, warning of record low temperatures, dangerous sub-zero wind chills and another round of winter precipitation Tuesday night through early Thursday morning. A wind chill warning is in effect through noon on Thursday, and a winter storm warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.
