Local health authority Dr. Desmar Walkes provided an update on the county’s vaccination efforts during Monday morning’s regular meeting of the Bastrop County Commissioners Court. Recently, Bastrop County was asked to participate in a pilot program with the state of Texas and contractor Deloitte to implement a vaccine registration and tracking system. The registration system is online from start to finish, Dr. Walkes said, and people who cannot register online can call to be registered.
