Black Tree Ranch, located between Bastrop and Smithville, hosted their annual Independence Day celebration on July 5. This year's Freedom on the Hill celebration benefitted the Texas Firewalkers, a non-profit organization that aids families displaced by residential fires or impacted by the deaths of first responders in the line of duty. The celebration featured an impressive fireworks display after sunset and live music from Cory Morrow, Dillon Gambol and Logan Tucker throughout the evening.
