Student newspapers have long played an important part in the campus experience and the educational development of young journalists, aspiring writers, and students everywhere who are just plugging into their community for the first time.

Elgin Elementary School’s student newspaper, Our Voice, had a launch party on Wednesday January 15, 2020. NIE sponsors, faculty, family, and community members all attended this glorious event. Student editors were awarded framed collages of their first-ever published articles. If you missed this publication, you can find it in January 1, 2020 issue of the Elgin Courier.

Stay tuned for the next issue of Our Voice, coming soon!
