Ranch Water, a 2020 indie film shot exclusively in Smithville, has been selected to be screened at the Lake Travis Film Festival (Sept. 18) and Georgetown Film Festival (Oct. 1). University of Texas graduate, Sophie Miller, wrote and directed the film with the aid of producers Aubrey Elenz and Chris Luner. Elenz, who also acted in the film, is an Austin native and spent ample time in Smithville growing up.
