The Siloah Cemetery Association dedicated the Texas Historical Marker at Siloah Cemetery, 124 Wolf Road in McDade, on September 12. The marker recognizes the historic cemetery and German Lutheran community of Siloah, with the first burial taking place in 1883. The cemetery remains active today, with many association members tracing their ancestry back to original community founders. A dedication ceremony was held outlining the journey that led from the origins of Siloah in the 1850s to the founding of the church and cemetery in 1882 to the present.
