Local officials and businesses thanked the firefighters and other first responders who fought the Rolling Pines Fire in January. On Tuesday, April 5, Southside Market & BBQ in Bastrop hosted a free lunch with the help of MVBA Law for these firefighters and first responders who risked their lives to contain and control the Rolling Pines Fire, a prescribed burn in Bastrop State Park which got out of containment on January 18 and burned an additional 812 acres but did not destroy any structures or cause any injuries. Photos by Julianne Hodges ...
