Bastrop Middle School hosts ribbon-cutting of soccer mini-pitch

On Friday, April 8, a new soccer mini-pitch area was unveiled at Bastrop Middle School, as local youth soccer players, coaches, families and project contributors gathered for the occasion.The ceremony was followed by a 5-on-5 soccer tournament for middle school students, among other activities.The mini-pitch was made possible through donations made by Austin FC’s nonprofit 4ATX Foundation, Soccer Assist, St. David’s HealthCare, St. David’s Foundation, US Soccer Foundation, and The Butler Bros, who according to an April 9 4ATX press release designed the mini-pitch pro bono.Soccer Assist founder and board chair, Dr. Aaron Rochlen, explained Friday that the newly-installed mini-pitch ...
