Elgin ISD welcomed 90 new teachers to the school district last week for its annual New Teacher Academy, an additional week of training and orientation for new teachers to become familiar with Elgin. During the week of training on Tuesday, the new teachers and staff were treated to lunch at Southside Market & Barbeque, hosted by the Elgin Chamber of Commerce.
