The fourth annual Empty Bowl event will be held on Saturday, November 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SPJST Lodge at 702 Highway 95 South.  After last year’s COVID-friendly drive-thru event, we are excited to announce the return of our full-fledged Elgin Empty Bowl, with handcrafted bowls and delicious soups to sample from local restaurants.  All soups are “seasoned” with the satisfaction of knowing that participants have helped put food on the table of the burgeoning number of hungry Elginites in economic crisis.  Event proceeds will support ...
