Down Home Ranch celebrated 30 years of empowering the lives of people with disabilities with a huge gala on Saturday night. The annual event was held at the Bastrop Convention & Exhibit Center in Bastrop and was attended by nearly 400 people. The 16th annual DHR Gala raised helped to raise money to run the ranch. Attendees enjoyed a fantastic meal, a silent and live auction, fair games, photo booth and live entertainment by the Blake Torrey Band. Above, auctioneer Heather Kaspar, of Buck Up Auctions, takes bids on one of the auction items. DHR provides a community for people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities to enjoy companionship, friendship, fun, travel, recreation and an active lifestyle.
