Staring down a 21-0 deficit after the first quarter on Homecoming, the Elgin High School varsity football team rose to the occasion last Friday as the Wildcats stormed back for an empathic 50-28 victory over Pflugerville Connally High School.However, this team showed a ton of resiliency on both offense and defense to quickly get back into this game as the Wildcats rallied for 21 straight points in the second quarter, heading into the locker room at halftime with Elgin and Connally deadlocked at 21-21 following a 12-yard touchdown run by senior quarterback Nathen Lewis.In the third quarter, Elgin took its ...
