The Elgin High School boys varsity basketball team put a halt to their previous three-game losing streak Friday, Jan. 12 as the Wildcats surged to a 55-31 victory at home against district foe Bastrop High School.The Wildcats went blow-for-blow with the visiting Bears in the first half but Elgin trailed Bastrop 19-18 by halftime.
