The Smithville girls and boys basketball teams found themselves winning big just before the holiday break.​On Friday Dec. 16, the Smithville boys thumped the Lexington Eagles with a score of 73-50. The Tigers forced numerous turnovers, which led to some easy transition baskets the other way.​Smithville lost their next two games on Dec. 20-21. First, in a district matchup against the Manor New Tech Titans, the Tigers lost 63-44.
