Tigers rally late, secure AISD tourney win against Bastrop

What a great baseball game the Bastrop and Smithville High School varsity clubs put on Friday evening in southwest Austin, as the Tigers ultimately prevailed 6-5 in an Austin ISD Tournament game held at Regents High School. The game was called to a conclusion after two hours due to time constraints, as the teams got in five innings of play.The Bears’ bats were active early, as No. 3 and 4 hitters, Reid Kovar and Caleb Brewer provided first-inning base hits.
