SMITHVILLE — The Tigers opened the 2023 regular season Friday night on a very high note as the Smithville High School varsity football team shut out Austin Travis Early College High School 37-0 at Tiger Stadium on Parents Night.Smithville controlled the game from start to finish in their opener as head coach Cyril Adkins’ squad got the job done against the visiting Rebels.The Tigers got a great performance on offense from junior quarterback Ramonz Adams, who helped lead Smithville to five scoring drives throughout the evening.
