The Elgin cross country team sent four boys to participate in a large meet in Temple on Friday, October 9. The meet included traditionally strong teams such as Lake Travis, Round Rock, A&M Consolidated, Bryan and many others. Wildcat Senior Mario Ruiz continued his dominant runs and came in first place with a time of 16 minutes, 6 seconds. In a strong showing, Luis Araujo Reyes finished sixth with a time of 17 minutes, 16 seconds. Fellow Wildcats Jaxon Larson in 12th place and Lane Eckert in 42nd place finished out the team scoring.
