Elgin volleyball approaches thick of season with first home game

The Elgin High School volleyball team had their first home game last Tuesday against Taylor.Elgin struggled to begin the match, losing the first set 25-9. They fought hard in what was a nail-biter of a second set but barely lost 25-22. Taylor pulled away at the end to win the third set 25-15, and Elgin ultimately lost the match 3-0.The Wildcats may not be starting their season with the hot start they were looking for, but the leadership of second year coach, Patricia Rivers, and an abundance of talented seniors, consisting of Abby King, Cinthia Navarro, Josephine Jackson, Genna Crafts,
