A school record was broken and a valiant comeback occurred in an epic battle between two Bastrop County rivals.​On Dec. 10, the McDade Bulldogs edged out the Bastrop Tribe Warriors to earn the third place prize at the McDade Invitational tournament. The Bulldogs are now 3-7 on the season, and the Tribe Warriors are 1-5.​Bastrop got off to a blazing start offensively, jumping out to a 26-14 lead as the first quarter concluded.
