In its penultimate week of regular season competition, McDade High School’s boys’ varsity basketball team swept a home-and-away series against district foe Austwell Tivoli with wins on Thursday and Saturday night. First came a road trip to Tivoli on Feb. 10, as the Bulldogs secured a 63-50 road win to improve to a 2-8 district record on the season.Senior Anthony Cottrill led the team with 20 points on the evening, knocking down an efficient nine of 17 attempts from the floor.
