On Friday and Saturday night, the Bastrop Bears baseball team was in action. On Thursday, the Bears came away with a 13-6 win over Cedar Creek, and then on Friday were shut down by Pflugerville 11-1.
On Friday against the Eagles, the Bears used a six-run third inning to set the stage for the win. Cedar Creek would score five runs in the sixth to pull within three runs at 9-6, but the Bears countered with a big-scoring half inning of their own in the bottom of the sixth, scoring four runs to come away with the win.
