​Two high-octane offenses went head to head last Friday.​The Bastrop Bears, however, didn’t score quite enough and lost to the Veterans Memorial Patriots 44-32.​The game appeared far out of reach after the Patriots scored back to back touchdowns in the third quarter to make the score 30-9.​The Bears fought rigorously, though, to claw their way back into the game.
