Yolanda Wise Favela

Yolanda Wise Favela, 74, of Elgin, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 20,2022. She was born on May 21, 1947, in Elgin, Texas. Yolanda was loved by so many. She was a loving and caring person and was deeply loved in return. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Irene Gonzales, father Jessie Wise, brother Oscar Wise, daughter Rosalinda Herrera, and son Edward Herrera.

Yolanda is survived by her husband, Catarino Favela, brother Jessie Wise Jr, Sons, Raymond Herrera, David Herrera, and Robert Favela; Daughters, Erika Favela, Irene Trevino, Julie Trevino, and Crystal Trevino; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews and a host other relatives and friends.

Yolanda will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts and thoughts. 

Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, February 24th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the reading of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM.  A Christian Mass will be conducted at Scared Heart Catholic Church of Elgin, Friday, February 25th at 10:00 AM with Father Ramirro presiding.  Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.  Arrangements and care are entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home.
