He is survived by his sons, Matt (Cathy) Limas, Michael (Melinda) Limas, and Daren (Christa) Limas, daughters, Karyn (Russ) Sole and Amy (Scott) Parker, eight Grandchildren, Chad (Mandi) Lindsey, Whitney and Mason McBryer, Matthew Limas, Tori and Alexa Sole, and London and Griffin Limas, one great grandchild, Austin Lindsey, sister, Mary Alice (Donald) Cox, brother, Ray Limas, and several nieces and nephews.

He was the life of any gathering, Rudy lived a fruitful life, with the humble upbringing at the Elgin Brickyard he proudly served in the US Navy and later became an LA Police Officer where he received a Medal of Valor and a Purple Heart for his heroism in 1968. He moved back to Elgin to enjoy his retired life. He enjoyed fishing. Traveling to visit his children and grandchildren was a favorite, he looked forward to planning their time together and all the things they would get to do. He loved playing golf with his friends, but especially with his brother, sons, and nephews. His passion was family reunions to bring his entire family together, he would just sit back and watch with such joy. He, along with the other elders of the family, would sit and talk about their younger days and then look out into the yard and smile at what our family had accomplished. It brought him so much joy to see everyone together in one place. He was a very caring and generous man. You will be missed so much; we’ll be seeing you. Much love.
