She graduated from Clayton High School in 1940. She married Barney (Carl) Hogan on July 3, 1944 in Napoleon OH. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2006.

She is survived by her three children, Patrick (Barbara) Hogan of Elgin, TX, Paula (Richard) Miller of Killen, AL and Charles (Pixie) Hogan of Harrison, MI. Additionally she had five grandchildren; Shannon Miller of Royal Oak, MI , Joseph Hogan (Deceased 12/2015), Aaron Hogan of St. Ignace MI, Crystal Hogan (Chris Pollet) of Phoenix AZ, and Kylee Brasuel (Chris Brasuel) of Harrison MI.

She lived in Michigan most of her early life; born and raised in Clayton. She spent a couple years in California but returned to Michigan where she and Barney lived in Manitou Beach, Holt, Harrison and Hudson.

Upon the death of Barney she moved to Florence, Alabama to be near her daughter Paula. Later as her health declined she moved to the SPJST Assisted Living Center in Taylor, Texas near her son Patrick.

She enjoyed working on her “puzzle books”, playing dominos, doing needle work and visiting with friends.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, her four brothers; Alden Clark, Ralph, Paul, and Edward DeLine, and one sister, Dorothy Clark Beagle.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the caregivers at the SPJST Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Centers.

In lieu of flowers or donations, her family encourages you to pick up a phone or pen and reach out to those you may have lost touch with or simply haven’t talked to lately. Time is our most precious commodity, spend it wisely.

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, a private memorial service will be held in Michigan at a future date.

Arrangements entrusted to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
