Laura “Nell” Bible Schwartz

Laura “Nell” Bible Schwartz, age 90, of Elgin, Texas, died Thursday, September 19, 2019. Visitation will be held the evening of Friday, September 20, 2019 at 6:00pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, TX. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Elgin Cemetery.

Nell was born on March 23, 1929 in Leander, Texas to Arthur “A.C.” and Florence Bible, Sr. She attended Leander schools through graduation. She married Julius Schwartz, Sr. on January 31, 1947. She was homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Nell was devoted to her family. She loved holding babies, spending time with her family, playing dominos, and bingo.

Survivors include her children, Julius and Norma Schwartz, Jr. of Elgin, Rosie and Charles Raney of Paige, Joan Schwartz of Elgin, and Henry Schwartz of Elgin. Her brother, James Bible of Elgin. Grandchildren are Charles and Dana Raney of Pflugerville, Julius “Jay” and Lynnet Schwartz III of Paige, Susan and Lige Brown of Paige, William “Billy” and Tonya Schwartz of Elgin, Bobbie Jean Schwartz, Robert Schwartz, Jr., and Laura and Marc Allen of Elgin. Great grandchildren are Vanessa Griffin, Julius Schwartz IV, Gunnar Schwartz, Anjelica Valdez, Olivia Valdez, Allison Barkley, Chase Barkley, Marcellus Valdez, Tristan Cruz-Aedo, Tyler Wood, Sydney Raney, Dylan Raney, Christopher Raney, Layla Brown, and Alexis Raney. Great great grandchildren are Kaitlyn Bowen, Vivien Alderete, Julius Schwartz V, and Malaya Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert Schwartz, Sr.; two brothers and two sisters.

A Visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 6:00-8:00 P.M. Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 21, 2019 Elgin Cemetery.
